Dr. Jamillah Smith is a dynamic mentor, coach, and transformational speaker dedicated to fostering growth, diversity, and empowerment. Guided by her faith and values of collaboration, transparency, consistency, and positive energy, Dr. Smith is committed to living a purpose-driven life. She is a proud mother of two and a loving mom-mom to four, balancing her family roles with her professional achievements.
Overcoming the challenges of teenage pregnancy and single motherhood in an underserved community, Dr. Smith has built a life dedicated to inspiring and empowering women across all walks of life. Her deep connection with Black and Brown women fuels her mission to create opportunities, resources, and representation for marginalized voices. She strives to ensure that no woman is ever the only one of her background in the room, fostering inclusivity and equity at every turn.
Dr. Smith is a seasoned Learning & Development and Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging professional with expertise in leadership, virtual and in-person facilitation, and designing inclusive learning environments. She holds a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) with a focus on Organizational Leadership, Learning, and Innovation, and she is a certified member of the Maxwell Leadership Team.
As the founder and president of Journey Unveiled, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teenage girls and young women discover their unique purpose, and the CEO of Unveiling the Journey, LLC., which uplifts individuals to achieve their greatest potential, Dr. Smith’s work continues to leave a lasting impact. Through her leadership and advocacy, she is paving the way for women to thrive and lead with confidence and purpose.
